So, you attended an education class at Area 59 and are now looking for more.
Gillette Community College District will offer Community Education classes to advance those skills.
But we can’t do it all without the help from our community, so if you have a desire to share your talents, hobbies, or like interests with others we may have an opportunity for you. We are looking for instructors for things like fly tying, Ham Radios, knitting, wood carving, wine/beer making, and the list goes on.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training
Entry Level Driver trainees will receive instruction based on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) and will be introduced to the basic commercial motor vehicle (CMV) instruments and controls. Training provider (Gillette College) will teach driver trainees the basic operating characteristics of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). This training will teach driver-trainees how to properly perform vehicle inspections, control the motion of CMVs under various road and traffic conditions, employ shifting and backing techniques, and properly couple and uncouple combination vehicles. Driver-trainees must be familiar with the basic operating characteristics of a CMV.
