Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training

Entry-level driver trainees will have the opportunity to learn about the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMSCA) and the essential main controls of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). Gillette College is dedicated to teaching them how to inspect vehicles adequately, drive safely in various traffic situations, and apply effective shifting and backing techniques. Additionally, trainees will gain valuable skills in how to properly attach and detach combination vehicles, as well as understand the basic functions and operations of a CMV. This comprehensive training aims to prepare them for a successful career in the transportation industry.
